KIRA YAMATO

IN LOOKING LIKE KIRA 

As as I've remembered, my hair has been brown for the past five years. I have always liked Kira's hairstyle and after all this time it's only now that I have come this close to looking like him. It's really challenging when you are the only one cutting your hair, coloring and styling. Salons here don't understand. They stereotype you to be not straight or to trying to imitate Koreans because what they only know and usually see on TV. I just want to look like the way I want, the way I want to see  myself. I don't have to sacrifice myself just for the sake of others. it's just hair anyway there's no big deal about it.  There's actually no harm in being happy.

Plus, brown hair can get you other cosplays like Heero Yuy and Meijin Kawaguchi. Yeah I'm a huge Gundam fan and nothing would be more fun than cosplaying your favorite Gundam pilot. =)

So I recently just started doing cosplay (6 mnths ago) and first is RYU an iconic character from Streetfighter. Well, I am actually coplaying on a daily basis especially when my hair color changes. However, you get discriminated here in because people are stupid. Sad but true. I wanna look this way. So now I'm gonna do stuff before I become old and enjoy life.

She is the cutest character I've ever made. XiriX, one of the goddesses of asgard that will govern my destiny. 

So this is the part where I'll say goodbye to all my other games hehe. Nah, maybe I'll just keep them incase there is a power failure in this sector of midgar.

Come Elsword, the online game that I have always been looking for. I just recently finished installing Aura Kingdom but then I saw my brother Ralph Joseph Juaneza Coloma playing this awesomely vibrant nostalgic online sidescrolling game that looks like grandchase and reminds me a lot of Valkyrie Profile from the Ps2 days. Such I candy I say. On that day I was playing Dota 2 again which was a huge mistake.

This game is really freaking awesome. You get to do some combos and got loads of skills jobs to choose from. The music though has a Ragnarok online ring to it but ala Valkyrie or Tales during boss battles.

I haven't been making any opposite gender main characters lately except for my God Eater Burst new game+. This game locks to the story character profile but you can change the name to desired preference and customize appearance with costumes. I don't get to make another mirror image of myself and name it "Richard" but I get to have something adorable for a change.

XiriX is in awakening mode in this photo. She looks like a cute Kyuubi spear wielding goddess. I love it!

I have always been thinkning lately to quit online games with online connectivity issues and other social and gaming issues but this really takes the cake. I can farm solo, grind dungeons multiplayer, PvP solo or team up with my bro and maybe with another player. The main big deal about this game is that it is free to play. I'm glad. 

SD GUNDAM STRIKERS

The newest mobile gundam game that you can play while doing some other stuff because your unit just moves and shoots automatically. It's like a mini G-overworld with three suits in a party. Free switch units to control during battle and use SP attacks. Smooth combat system. Great graphics. Love the space background. Mission based gameplay with loading issues. Farm materials and build Gundams.

Dive back to SD battles with combat BGM and an atmosphere from Gundam Saga: A new Dawn.

For Japan only.

10/10 for a mobile game.

GUNDAM DEATHSCYTHE BOOTLEG REVIEW

It's pretty good actually than compared to my Daban msv Astrays. Well. It's not top quality but I'm already aware of that expectation since it's a bootleg. 

After 8 grueling hours of building it's finally done. 

Pros:
Looks good no doubt about it.
Good articulation in almost all of the joints.

Affordable. P500 only. It costs more in other stores tho. I'm just lucky sometimes window shopping.

Most parts snap fit well.

Less parts keep on falling off compared to my Daban Astrays.

Cool backpack. It has articulations.

Cons:
Noticeably big legs seems to be a bit out of proportion.

Buster shield doesn't mount well. It doesn't clip on and it's crappy for action pose. I can fix this with my beginner building skills.

Major let down on the backpack. I had to super glue it when I woke up.

Body and head does not snap fit well. Remedy with glue.

Small head.

Final verdict:

I can't complain much since I'm just gonna put my gunpla up for display most of the time. Overall its a good deal at a very affordable price. It's not as expensive due to the fact that it's not an in demand kit and it has lesser details. I like the beam scythe and the articulations of the buster shield. It could have scored higher if the bp just connected properly to. It's back.

Score 7/10

A good buy for collection and display. Well it's all good since I don't play with them anymore unlike when I was a kid. Back then I buy the rubber and more durable Gundam figures so that I could let them fight all I want with out worrying about my expensive fragile bandai breaking. However, what I see now in model kits is that it's easier to custom with all the part breakdowns or sections and details from the inside.

KUNG FURY 80'S ACTION COMEDY FILM

An awesome film by David Sandberg. Very entertaining, funny (I laughed hard) while throwing you back to the 80's world. It's action pack with cool Kung Fu martial arts scenes with awesome special effects that I find to be different from the usual stuff but smooth.

I can't remember how I got to this on youtube. I was trying to fix my blogsite and I was suddenly surprised by this. Totall worth the time and the laughs. Plus, there's a sequel coming so it's one more cool thing to look forward to. 

The soundtrack is pretty cool as well. It's very entertaining to watch David Hasselhoff's 80's theme music video.

GB2 apparently has more stages than GB1 as noted by Amuro Adam 

GB2 also has increased difficulty online but not as much as I've noticed compared to GB1. Maybe It's just me. GB2 has Dynamic boss battles but are not as difficult or challenging as most would say (that I know).

Some still prefer or rather miss the good AI PGs in GB1. GB1 mission 90-100 has a bit more value and incentives in drops and satisfaction when completing the mission. Whereas GC15 is the only final frontier for GB2. What do you think?

VALKYRIE PROFILE SILMERIA SETTINGS PCX2

This is like my 7th or 8th new game on this epic game. Finally, after a greuling ling day of setting up, I finally got it running on an avarege of 70fps. I almost gave up and might decide to guy an actual ps2 (again) for smoother play but my theories are almost always correct. Still haven't cleared Seraphic Gate with Silmeria. An unfinished business after all these years because of the usual social issues people freaking out when someone plays video games rather than do vices. Well, it's more of like just adding some stuff for me to tinker during my leisure time rather than leaving the house wasting time and money. It's the rainy days anyways so it's not that cool to go outside. The unique rpg battle system I've never found anywhere else is with the old school JRPGs. There is somethign that keeps me coming back to this title. To play it on a bigger widescreen TV now is a great plus. It's cool to mash some buttons (strategically) every once in a while and delve into the Norse mythology experience that will always leave an aftertaste. 10/10 For an awesome game during the ps2 days.

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE COUNTER BLOG

One of my good friends shared on facebook a somewhat disturbing blog against the PS4 FFVII remake, Well I say it's blasphemy and off with his head!

Millions of fans world wide have been waiting for this. Some silently like me. I never expected nor wished for this to happen. It's some sort of miracle. I'm looking forward to this Square Enix!

It has been 15yrs since its release on the ps1. Ah the good old days. Then the epic Crisis Core was released and it rocked! Around that time tooI got to buy a PS2 again and got the chance to play Dirge of Cerberus and it's a pretty good game for the PS2. I have also spent hundreds of hours in Dissidia and Duodecim playing mostly as Cloud in his Advent Children suit as my main character.

That blogger is dead wrong. For me, a remake of an awesome game after about a decade is okay. However, a remake of FFVII after a dacade and an a half is freaking awesome. It's another plus reason to make it worth buying a PS4. He complains he doesn't have a ps4 but duh, get a job! When I was in college I still bought consoles (a couple of PSP units and etc). Gaming is a lifestyle and it comes at an expensive price. Just exactly what console(s) does this person have? If you can't be happy for others then just keep silent.  Remakes or not, it's just there to be available for purchase. Nobody is forcing us to buy anything.

We also needto consider the gamers who have never experienced FFVII. Advice: It will still take a while for the game to be released so it's better to save up starting NOW.

VERY UNREASONABLE

It was midsummer and I was always with this girl. She became my best friend at that point. However, she is the girlfriend of my friend. We always texted since we became good friends last year but we became really close this summer. She was a good friend to me so I became a great friend for her when she needed me most. She was on the point of deep depression with her relationship with her boyfriend. She would always text that she was sad so I always tried to keep her company and gave her all the comfort I could ever give. She was well worth it all.
The both of them inevitably separated. I tried to be fair not to side with either of them but I always hate to see girls cry especially if that girl is a good friend of mine. She wanted my company and needed to be there all the time to fill her loneliness. She was happy I am sensitive to her feelings. I wanted to save her. I never meant to get in between. I got dragged in and got caught in the middle.
This was so unreasonable! I was accused that I am stealing her. Well it is not my fault if we are very close because I was good to her. In fact, she is not the only girl I have that is very close to me. People just cannot understand and accept the fact that I am close to many people and not just with my regular boy group.
I really had grown to like her. She took good care of. More than I took care of her. I was reasonable. I had no ulterior motives. I want someone who sincerely has feelings for me and it has never been my style to steal girlfriends. I always have this sense of righteousness and honor. She is special but I do not want just any girl. She has everything I ever wanted from a girl but If ever she would be mine, the feeling would not be whole. It is better this way.
I am not in a rush to have a relationship anyway. I want someone truly special. Someone with nothing holding her back and we will happily ever after.

BAD WEATHER

Bad Weather

                “I’m always there” is what a special friend since my nursing days at the University of San Agustin said to me.  It made a hell of a point for a simple text message. “It’s because you are always there. Try to be missing in action so that pangitaon nya ka na”. It is an unexpected response to my periodical life speculating group messages.

This occurred after playing basketball with the JOURNBOYS and the BROADBUMS. Bad weather never came. We had a great time playing basketball with each other. It is our steady bonding since summer and we share a great goal and a dream.  It started to rain at around 4pm but the wind blew the rainclouds away. The real storm cloud and heavy typhoon I was avoiding and waiting for never came for unknown reasons. It is 11:05pm and my text mate seems to have hit the pillows.  I do not have to disappear like Toto and his stupid film projector like in the film we watched for film art class. Life is not a film and a box of chocolates. I must live life to the fullest and hopefully have less regrets.

I was in awe of life when I lay on my bed before dinner. A different friend, who told me to wait, replied to my text. Then I said I was a little off… that I wanted to be strong in times like this when I’m contemplating I thought we felt exactly the same but the braces on that person’s teeth and my third molar crap growing – both our teeth hurt and that’s the only thing we had in common. I told that someone I was just a little off and wondering about life. I should try to keep in mind not to expect much every time to avoid disappointments for dedicating and caring for someone too much. Oh wait, my friend I was speaking of on the first paragraph replied^^ Oh but it seems we are at the end of our text discussion because I am asking the questions now.

When I reflect on life I think of life in general. I see visions of the ends of my lifetime – it drills my mind! … And the four years that flashed by. Our team lost today… the infamous “second unit” but I have lost several times other than just a sport. I had what I wanted but I’m not that pleased. Something you want is not always equal to happiness. However, what I really want to gain beyond this is peace of mind. I may lose battles, competitions, academics and love before. I will lose again at some point but do I think of what I have achieved before? Clinging to the past is a burden, thinking only of the present is selfish and always looking to the future cloud the sight. This is confounding. What should we choose? I say all three. I can, I should and why not?

This is not my journal. I never hide anything on my journal. I burned all chapters of it about ten years ago. However I am writing again!^^ It is great to see I always come up with something good from whatever crap happens to me. I did not want to be a journalist anymore. My passion for writing disappeared to the shadows along with that Odd job that I lost. However I am a Disk Jockey now. We started giving the Radio Station of West a new look today. I was with good people^^.

I always loved essays. I always score high on essays during high school even with only a couple of sentences. My New Media Journalism class and this uncertainty allowed me to write again. Now this realization: I am a musician, a singer, an anime artist, a hardcore gamer, martial artist, an enthusiastic student, a Disk Jockey, a journalist but most of all a calm and reasonable person.

Instead of drifting into oblivion I do what I love most which is writing^^.

New Media is the next frontier for journalists. This realization has been made clearer by the article ‘Shifts in The News Environment’ from our New Media Journalism class.

Media consumers have now evolved in to media creators. This is the result of the changes brought by the new era of digital media and it fundamentally changed journalism. Journalist are no longer limited to print media. They can now produce multi-media publications with the internet. This costs significantly less than conventional print.

Most of us now have advanced new media gadgets such as mobile phones with cameras and internet access, Laptops, Tablets and other devices that has access to internet on the go. You can now write and publish an article virtually from any location away from home.

Man has grown even more reliant to new technology. Task may be done simply by a push of a button or even via voice command. Human habits have drastically changed in to spending more time logged on the internet and continually grows more.

The news environment has now more competition with the content creators who are not media personnel. A normal now has access to the same technology media personel have such as in publishing articles, photos and videos. Well known news companies may now have less audience because of social networks which can offer the same news with more extensive discussions and interactions. Audience of Tv, radio and print now move to online media because of accessibility and convenience. However, Media has moved accordingly against such competition with multiple network user groups.

This reality can be seen posivitively by writers . We journalists should consider this as a healthy  challenge for journalism to continue to improve as the time changes.
